Our review article on the cover of AVS quantum science-AIP publishing

The image of the cover for AVS quantum science Volume 2 issue 2, provides a representation of a basic tool for photonic quantum phase estimation: the Mach-Zehnder interferometer. Here interfering quantum states of light can be exploited to extract information on unknown relative phase shifts, enhancing the sensitivity achievable by classical resources.

The cover image is dedicated to our review article published in AVS quantum science. Such review is dedicated to the description of the basic notions and the current state of the art of quantum metrology implemented by photonic platforms. Particular attention is dedicated to the new research areas of multiparameter quantum metrology and machine learning techniques applied to quantum metrology tasks.
